signs don’t vote

In five elections we have lost 240 signs.  They are disappearing as fast as we can put them out. We are down to the original signs that had a date we have to correct with tape and paper.

My opponent has reported the theft of signs to the police, yet his have gone back up.  Mine are still missing. $8 each.

Please remember that signs don’t vote. There are a lot of supporters out there with empty lawns. Closer to the election we will put out the last of our signs to show support.  The plentiful signs of my opponent might suggest that those stealing them are more interested in supporting the other side.

In past elections signs were removed and tossed into the woods or found in the streets. This election they are gone. In some cases pieces of my signs have shown up attached to the tops of the vote no on October 13th signs covered with bumper stickers advertising their website.  This happened last year when we showed police and press that my signs were cut up and used on top of their recall signs. In one case this year, a piece of my sign was found under a recall bumper sticker that was under a sewer website bumper sticker on top of the vote no on Oct. 13 sign…… These pieces have been shown to police and the press.

If you find any of my signs on the sides of the roads, in the woods, at the transfer station …. please let me know.

This year my opponent’s mailer was full of ambiguous claims and lies and misrepresentations of my positions. Signs are stolen. Websites are up with “misinformation.”

What a shame, I just wanted an  honest campaign about the issues.

  1. Janet, I am truly sorry that all of these horrendous things have been occurring to you and your family. Just so that you realize it, the voting public has become increasingly aware of the “shady nature” of the political company that your opponent has been keeping near to him.
Just how much aware the public has become about this will be decisively evident by the lopsided victory you will undoubtedly enjoy on election day–November 3rd. For what it is worth, I personally have been making calls and contacting friends, family and acquaintances to vote for you and support your reelection to the Town Council. Take care and good luck dear.
