Governor Deval Patrick’s Summer Town Hall Meeting Tour

Monday, August 11, 2008 — 6:00 to 7:30 pm

Village Green Bandstand, Hyannis

HYANNIS, MA – Town Manager John Klimm and Town Council President Janet Joakim are pleased to welcome Governor Deval Patrick to the Hyannis Village Green Bandstand (367 Main Street, Hyannis) on Monday, August 11th from 6 to 7:30 pm for his Summer Town Hall Meeting Tour. The General Public is invited to bring beach chairs and blankets to this event.

Keeping to his commitment to encourage civic engagement and to be Governor of the whole Commonwealth, Governor Deval Patrick has embarked on a town hall-style meeting tour across Massachusetts.

The meetings will be open to the public, giving residents a chance to talk directly to Governor Patrick about issues they care about most such as education reform, health care and the economy. Governor Patrick will also assemble his full Cabinet for four meetings in different regions of Massachusetts, giving the public more opportunities to ask questions and raise important matters in their communities.

In case of rain, event will be held at the Knight Auditorium at Barnstable High School, 744 West Main Street, Hyannis.

  1. you make us sick

  2. Gosh, I am so sorry, who is “us” and how are you sick?
Try looking at a sunset, hugging your child, or stopping to smell the flowers blooming everywhere….

  3. We all know who “us” is and we all know she is “sick.” Hugging your child? That would cut into the recall attempt time! Stop making silly suggestions Janet, LOL

  4. Has an announcement been made about the rain location?

Even if it clears up, the Green will be messy…

  5. I see it now….COG headlines tomorrow….”Gov Patrick part of Joakim/Klimm conspiracy: The governor met with town leaders yesterday as part of their evil scheme to rule the world and undermine the honest, foreright souls of COG. Patrick promised to force the courts to overrule any COG petition. Justice is impossible because everyone is against us!”

  6. Thanks Janet for all your fine leadership and good work to make Barnstable a better place to live and work.
