We drove by the old Tradewinds hotel and almost went off the road. What the %$&* is going on there? How is such an ugly huge buildig get built when everyone else has to wait for your zoning regulations? I was shocked to find that the appeals committee allowed that hotel to expand like this!!! Does the city council in this town have any control over such ridiculous thing? I called the building the building department last week.

We are aware that this is an issue and will be addressing this - most, if they meet during the day, will meet in the morning before work or late afternoon. don't let this stop you, if you are interested in applying make note of the daytime difficulties during your interview. That's actually a good thing. Being appointed to (a committee) and working on the committee has led to some pretty frustrating meetings. But, it is all part of the process. In the end, it is a fufulling commitment and I'm proud of the work we do together as a committee. People really need to get involved. We started out by taking the citizen's leadership academy. If said "outsider" goes through the interview process saying they don't want to work with the committee because they think the committee should be changed, then the appointments committee would consider the committee itself in its recommendation.....
