Thank you to everyone who showed up, and to those who participated in the open meeting Tuesday evening.
A count by officials was that about 60 people attended. It appeared to many that about 15 or so were people who were petitioners and those who signed.
The meeting lasted for about two hours. A replay has been added to the schedule rotation on Channel 18 and it can be downloaded or watched streaming from the town’s website.
It is scheduled for 4:30 Sat. 5/10 and 9 am Sunday 5/11. See the schedule for more options:

It was an interesting meeting, and I encourage anyone who is curious to watch to put the faces to some of the names.

I think it was symbolic that Greg Milne did not sit with all of you on the stage.
He was with “his people,” Lopez, Julius, Thoman, Tony Pelletier (not sure how you spell it but we know him as Schwaab’s coach for the election debates and the chair of the Hyannis Civic Assoc).
He should have been sitting up there with the other councilors, that made no sense.
Thanks for pointing that out during the meeting, because we were all wondering in the section I was sitting in, and I’m sure people who watch it will be surprised to see him go to the podium on the floor when you realize he isn’t on the stage.
Symbolism.
Then there will be Karma.
LOL! My friend was betting he was off collecting signature for the county election!

Can you say “Conflict of Interest” Janet?

Thanks.
I don’t want to get into a protracted debate here so this is all I will say about the subject.
I had spoken to Councilor Milne the prior week and told him that he could sit with us.
The attorneys asked that councilors and staff not get involved in discussion about pending litigation.
Nothing precluded him from taking a seat with his fellow councilors.
They all made the effort to attend, whether their presence was requested or not.

I thought he was off campaigning for his next office. How many elections does he run for in one year?

What a freak show! Another waste of time and energy. This town has more important priorities.
We should now ignore the man behind the curtain as the king and his jester had their public display and it bombed, like everything else they do. Think king of cog will shut down now?

congratulations, very good meeting

Janet,
The man who called the meeting was rude and shameful. Your fellow councilors should be commended for showing up. Thanks for another job well-done.

Great meeting Janet! Whatever your cronies say! Milne belonged sitting up there with you because you say so, because you say so. Lopez shuts down COG over my dead body!

Lopez at one point announced he called the meeting. We all know he did not. He didn’t even emerge from his basement to collect signatures. He was certainly rude and shameful. Usually he has more sense than to make a spectacle of himself in public.

I watched the meeting of the voters. Two things I found rather strange but funny. #1) There were actually people who were sitting in the back of the room yelling at Gary Lopez telling him to “shut up and sit down.” #2) After all of the crap that Taryn Thoman “Types” why did she not have the nerve to get up and speak? Reason being, it is more difficult to be brave out in public then it is to be brave in the comfort of your own home. Oherwise, a COWARD.

*****NEWS FLASH*******
May 17 Centerville MA
This morning police were called to a Centerville neighborhood to rescue two women who were found stuck head first in the town council president’s trash cans. One of the women was dressed in a red t-shirt which, while covered in coffee grinds and cat-litter, had black letters with the word “recall” still visible. The other woman was wearing polished rock jewelry and carrying video and digital cameras, had night vision goggles hanging from her neck, and was mumbling unintelligibly about “recalls”, and ‘meetings of voters.”
An older, be-speckled and disheveled man was also found at the scene trying to pull the women out by their feet, growling, “there has to be SOMETHING in there!!”
As the three were were loaded into the paddy wagon with padded walls, the two women were chanting “King Cog is our leader.. He will lead us from conspiracy into the light.”
According to Doctors called to the scene, all three will be sent to Bridgewater State Hospital for observation.

A small but now growing group of anti-coggers have decided to get together to do some investigative work of their own at the registry of deeds and elsewhere.
The members of this group each has a job, so their work will be a little slower, but much of the work has been done; just needs to be verified and updated.
The results will be published on a blog that will be put up in the next couple of weeks.
Time to consider the hypocrisy of these people who spend so much time throwing rocks while living in glass houses!

I don’t know how you deal with all of this.
Do these people have souls? Do they have children and families? You have strong daughters, but how do they handle this stuff?

My kids have a great sense of humor.
One of them is traveling to Africa in a week and as a mom, I worry more about that than what childish stuff adults are putting up on websites about them.
I am proud that she is making this trip, and want to post about it, but probably won’t.

These two idiots will be firing off letters to the chief of police and town attorney’s office faster than you can say “kid of convenience”. They just can’t get over that you have more power than they do.
