The open meeting is planned for tomorrow Tuesday, May 6, at 6pm at the Knight Lecture Hall/Auditorium.
We have the space until 8pm, so the meeting can last for 2 hours if needed.
There was discussion about whether anyone can speak to an issue off the topics on the petition and those at the planning meeting decided that the topics should be limited to the petitions, unless there is time at the end.
I expect we will see the petitioner and Lopez and their friends, it will be nice to put some faces to the anonymous comments of the past few years.
There are a lot of other things going on Tuesday evening, stop by the Knight Lecture Hall, it is the auditorium in the center of the building.
See you there!

I have never seen Lopez, think he will actually show up so we can see what he looks like? How about Taryn? What does she look like? Think these people will actually show up? Hopefully the moderater will keep the language in check, if you have ever read their blogs you know what I mean.

Look for the individual wearing a hockey mask and strapped to a two-wheeler.

A handful of coggers showed up tonight and if your buddy with the obsession about you was there, she didn’t speak.
There were a lot of people who didn’t speak cause your guy let the speakers talk longer, but he was good. There were lots of little business owners there and I talked to a couple people who weren’t were retired who were there who think these coggers are so wrong they came to watch. There was even the guy who won the gold medal in the special olympics.
The lesson tonight was, this is why gary lopez uses a computer and doesn’t speak in public.
And, he was so rude.

We sat quietly and listened and saw a small group of people who thought they could generate a crowd to pound away at the council, alas just a small group of complainers.
We sat in the back and saw and hear a lot of people who are disgusted with COG and Lopez.
He demostrated why he chooses to sit behind a computer. We couldn’t understand him, he wasn’t making any sense and kept jumping from one thing to another.
Now, maybe he will shut down his blog. He has been going way to far lately.
I think most people who actually give it some thought in their daily lives actually think our town government is doing ok. The group that wants us to thinkt they are all corrupt have their own obvious issues now that they have been seen in the light.

I think someone should ask Milne to pay for our/the town lawyer that taxpayers are now paying extra for since we couldn’t use town lawyers. Perhaps that could be stipulated as part of the decision should he lose his appeal. Maybe when he has to think about the cost of his actions he will reconsider this course.
I would hope he would want to share town government positions with as many people as are interested in serving, and not try to claim two positions for himself.

It was especially gratifying to note the absence of any carpetbagging contingent from Brighton. Meanwhile Lopez, in person, has never been capable of anything beyond stammering incoherence seasoned with occasional yelling.

what I would’ve said but I wasn’t called on:
-
WOW! Some of those guys (and gals) were REALLY SCARY
with their Dennis Miller type rants because they’re
serious! As soon as you listen to them talk the rant
you can tell they are not interested in trying to see
all sides and reach agreement on anything.
Now may I ask a question. Why has the next most vote
getter not been appointed an alternate to the CC and
sworn in to the CC so they can truly get about their
work without being held up by this nonsense. If Milne
does decide to take his seat on the CC the alternate
is an alternate once more.
We all learned in Kindergarten that you can’t change
the rules after the game has been played. How selfish
of him to put all the people of this town to such
trouble and expense for his personal view. If he
truly wants things fixed he can dropped this suit,
pick one seat, and everybody get to work!
What I was going to say at the meeting was that I was
proud to be one of the 7,000 that signed the petition.
Today I am no so proud to say I was also one of the
1,181 people who voted for Greg Milne and I did so
understanding that he would be chosing between the two
seats should he win both. And then he pulls this?
NOW who’s spitting in my voter eye, Mr. Julius?

And, now that we are done with the meeting, I am done with other blogs - don’t need updates or reports, please. Time to ignore again.
Lopez was supposed to shut down, right? I thought I read that in the paper.
We have work to do on budgets, and it’s spring….
open the windows and shut down the computer. Life is too short.
