a long, lingering, farewell…… but is it really, “goodbye gadfly?”

The Barnstable Patriot, one of the biggest fans of Cape Cog, made the following report in their April 4, 2008 town notes section.
During a conversation with a friend this morning, she made note that the local gadfly is still typing away and she said those who care are now talking about some sort of pool. I took a look myself, and sure enough a week or so ago he announced his departure.
(Of course this was about four or five posts ago….)
“Citizen for Open Government is through, this is my last post.”
I wouldn’t put my money on it.
He has said it before.
Lopez won’t stop developing his conspiracy theories and posting them to incite his minions and entertain the rest.
He can’t.

welcome to my blog
Sevenvillages blog was started in response to the negative posts on "hate-blogs", but has become a place for discussion about issues, problems, and solutions that face our town.
The views and opinions reflected in articles and posts on this site do not represent the entire town council, but simply personal perspectives.
Peace is always possible.

There is every chance that either of the main destructive blogs could resume posting. The authors have little positive in their lives to fall back on. By choosing to engage them on this site you have increased the chances of their return. Let sleeping dogs lie.

“By choosing to engage them on this site you have increased the chances of their return.”
I believe the point is that despite an “announcement” in the Barnstable Patriot the chances of their return are slim.
You can’t return, when you never leave…..
It’s disappointing that that paper still uses these guys as sources.
The CCTimes links to that site.
His site is still active, he still posts … despite the story in the paper. “according to their sources”
And, he emails his post out to loads of people.
“Let sleeping dogs lie”
Sorry, but the dog is still barking.
And, the newspapers keep giving him the attention he needs.. not this blog.

Janet, To them this is life. This is what they do above all else. Above work and spending quality time with their child(ren). Without there hate crusade and fabricated stories and police reports searching for sympathy, there is nothing. Take 10 minutes and sit in your living room all alone, no TV, no radio and no conversation. Complete silence and loneliness is what you would be left with. This is what they would experience daily if they stopped. Not a chance. They will be in their mid 50’s (and for some this is right around the corner) and still going at it. Simply pathetic….

I bet u’ll b sad when you are no longer the center of his attentions. Have you given any serious thought to taking a break from the unblinking public eye yourself?
