Barnstable High School Set to “Rock the Smock”
Barnstable High School will open its 2008 Senior Art Show called “Rock the Smock” on Friday, April 11, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Guyer Barn Arts Center, 250 South Street, Hyannis. The show will run from Saturday, April 12 through Thursday, April 17 from 12 to 4 pm.
The exhibit will feature works created by students in the National Art Honor Society and Art Club and will highlight the students’ community and global projects of the year.
Students in the exhibit will be responsible for producing and hosting their own exhibition under an instructor’s supervision. Artworks will include paintings, drawings, graphic design, animation, ceramics, illustrations, woodworking, and drafting. Decade era rock music and refreshments will be provided.
Today’s quote:
| Salvador Dali | “The thermometer of success is merely the jealousy of the malcontents.” |

Janet, My wife and our four children went to see The Wizard of OZ this past weekend. They said it was a great show. Some close friends of ours had their children in the play. I was unable to attend but it sounded like a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with the family.

I was planning to go but had a last minute issue-
I understand they will have another series of performances in the summer.
They may even be auditioning for additiona “munchkins” etc…
We saw the Wizard of Oz when that Auditorium was brand new and we were so impressed with the special effects.
