Tuesday, November 6, is the chance for the residents of Barnstable to show Gary Lopez, John Julius, Eric Schwaab, Taryn Thoman and their COGGERS that this town won’t fall for the politics of Hate. See examples of some of their campaign work on the page above labeled “hate bloggers” the password is voteno3 .
Please come out and VOTE FOR the following:
Precinct 3 – Jim MUNAFO
Precinct 9 – James TINSELY
School Committee:
Any 3 of the following:
Peggy Dandridge
David Lawler
Tom McDonald
Pat Murphy
Tax Collector
I personally will support Gary Brown – this is a one year post if question 1 is approved
Questions:
QUESTION 1. I will be voting YES on question 1 because our tax collector is not making policy – the collector’s job is to manage the collection operation. Take the politics out of this position.
QUESTION 2. NO I have heard from my own consitutents and civic association that they want to keep their precinct representation
QUESTION 3. VOTE *NO* There is no question that changes need to be made in this charter, but these changes can done without a charter commisson. I originally supported the idea of a charter commission, until the list of candidates came forward. This commission would be laced with Lopez’s hate blog group. The purpose for this commission has been sullied by this group and it has become a way for them to “get rid of all of the councilors and insert a mayor.” This is the wrong group and the wrong atmosphere for this committee
Candidates for Charter -
Even if you vote NO, you can have a say in who is on this commission if the question does pass. In that case we are bullet voting one, two or three of the following.
Roy Richardson
or Roy and Sue Rohrbach
or Roy, Sue
and Alan Goddard
or
Bob Jones
or
Lucien Poyant
or
Richard Clark
PLEASE come out and vote!! Your vote counts!

I LOVE how Julius is threatening law suits AGAIN!!
That lawyer from Hingham must be all he has left after the lawsuits he files against the towns are losing or being thrown out of court and WASTING THE TAXPAYERS MONEY!!!
What a WASTE of MONEY time and ENERGY!!!
And did you now that ANGER is an unhealthy EMOTION THAT LEADS TO A SHORT life?
And, I wonder if Mr. Julius can remember the time he met my family members in a closing…. he might not remember……..

I got a call today from someone in Precinct 9, seems that Mr. Cox was making phone calls today once again declaring that his opponent would support him and giving the impression, ONCE again, that James Tinsley was dropping out. This is NOT true and makes me wonder why this guy can’t just run on who he is, rather than these creative and misleading stories.
Tinsley is in the race, agressively and is hoping to win, then maybe Cox will support Tinsley as his town Councilor.
Lets hope that Tinsley gets the votes from his constituents and is the new councilor for precinct 9!

Someone just send me comments that Julius made today – not sure whether this is from Lopez’s or Schwaab’s blog, but it is yet another example of this guys personality.
Someone mentioned to me this evening that a charter commissions responsibility is to hold hearings with the public for input on charter changes and then render decisions and that these guys clearly have personal agendas, not the will of the people as motivation for this charter commission….
John Julius in his own words: (do you want this guy to serve on your charter commission?)

Does anyone else see a similar type of politicing to the kind of fear of the doom that got us into Iraq?
These people are doing the same sort of thing, aren’t they? While you guys are getting national awards and high bond ratings, they are running around like chicken littles telling us the sky is falling, blaming town government for that aren’t in the pervue of town government….
This is the same kind of made-up fear that got following the leader like lambs into the fire of Iraq.
We are smarter now and we all know better than to fall for this stuff.
(where is the spell check on this thing?)

Janet,
Let us hope that the voters of Barnstable prove far more intelligent than the Koggers and Muffy think they are. If people support the kind of hateful tactics that the hate blogs have rolled out over the past couple of years by voting for any of those weasels, I will lose a lot of respect for our community.
Voters, please tell the hate bloggers and their supporters that good government requires decent behavior on ALL sides….to disagree with someone on a political issue doesn’t require you to hate them as a person.
Just think how the people who are oh so willing to defame their opponents will act if they are holding the positions of power in our town….can you imagine the insulting rantings of Muffy if he can speak without limit from the Council dias when his proposals are turned down?

Got several calls about poll activities. I am home working and preparing for a visit to my daughter and can’t get to the polls till later.
Precinct 9 – Good thing for Cox that he bought 100 signs, and then someone stole a good percentage of the 25 Tinsley bought.
Cox had so many left over without a place to place them that he has about 30 signs at the Poll…. all over the place.
Dirty tricks don’t win votes. Lets hope people aren’t influenced by this show.
Precinct 3 – Demetrius was with his daughter driving by the senior center on his way to the school when Eric Schwaab yelled at him.
Demetrius stopped and had an exchange with Schwaab about little league, with Schwaab hurling accusations about little league teams that he knows nothing about having no children nor having never coached, taken part in, or even watched a local little league game.
And, without any consideration for the 13-year-old girl sitting next to him in the car – Schwaab yelled at Demetrius calling him a “peice of sh**” -
Demetrius told him, sarcastically, that that was really nice to say in front of a child, Schwaab told him, again in front of the girl, “well you ARE.”
Nice. Boy I hope I don’t have to work with this guy.
PLEASE tell all of your friends to get out and VOTE!!

Janet,
I met Christine Howell this morning outside Precinct 6 polling place. She was hold two anti Taryn signs. One read “Barnstable’s future = NO THOMAN and the other read NO PLACE For HATE = NO THOMAN. I had to shake her hand for her effort.

Did anyone see Taryn’s new youtube video of Christine Howell talk about a desperate move.
Comment by TJ — November 7, 2007 #
TJ, That video was funny. We are still laughing! But as I told my wife, “let her do what ever she wants to. The fact is and always will be that she lost her bid to get on the charter comission and you had something to do with it.” Our spreading the word about “Ms. Taryn Thoman who is also the owner of Trayn’s Mirror located in Hyannis on Main St and her husband(?) “Mr. Dennis Wilcox” will continue. “Ms. Thoman” will never sit on any seat except for the one at her computer where she can continue to write e-mails back and forth to herself. She is a desperate woman. Just yesterday we received a threatening e-mail from her sister “Terese Marinelli” who works for Ohio State University. Talk about STUPID. She sent it from her work e-mail! So my wife contacted her employer and the campus police. We are waiting to hear back from them about the action they will take. This is not the first time that she had threatened us. Terese Marinelli also called in a few threats to Janet Joakim as well. The “BPD” was interested in the e-mail as well as the you tube video. There is a definate history of violence and threatening from this family. They themselves have provided the proof. Their credability with that agency is gone at this point. So say what you want “Ms. Thoman” just remember, YOU LOST….

TJ, I think it depicts her negatively.personally, my idea of white trash is somebody who furnishes her livingroom with stackable white, plastic shelving-I saw it in a certain youtube video of a little boy singing Happy Birthday to Eric Schwaab. Now that’s class. It was a desperate move, not all of us have tact.
Comment by C Howell — November 8, 2007 #
Why is Taryn Thoman so JEALOUS of Christine Howell. Is it because Christine is educated. Is it because she is everything Taryn is not. Taryn Thoman needs a wake-up call. How can you live on a st. where everyone hates you? The good people have spoken and they do not want Taryn or any of her croonies. Het over it, move on with your life.
