does not play well with others

Eric Schwaab’s report card has a check mark next to “Does not play well with others.”

A brief post today - just a thought as read my emails from people who have been watching these races, who read the papers and some who read the hate-blogs and this new crop of “truth” blogs.

My previous post, this post, and future posts, will use material found in articles published in the current Cape Cod Voice Newspaper, a publication based in the lower cape that prints twice a month.  Pick it up if you are anywhere newspapers and magazines are sold.  You can’t miss it, it is the one with my face on Osama Bin Ladin’s head…. an image they took from a blog that Taryn Thoman, someone whom I have never met, created about me that I will share in the next day or so.  It was one of a series of blogs she created, left up for a week or so, then took down. (Again, several of us have saved copies of these blogs to share with you as we discuss the fact that she is a candidate for public office, check in on Friday for more details.)

A friend who doesn’t live in this town read the Cape Cod Voice then went to Schwaab and Lopez’s hate-blogs to see what the fuss was and had a simple inquiry of me, after being appalled by what was written on those current blogs and in the blogs’ archives.

How does someone like Eric Schwaab expect people to vote for him as their representative when he has, over the past couple of years, alienated just about every single person he would need to work with to get anything done?

Apparently, for the past few days, Schwaab’s latest target and the target of his guru Gary Lopez, (whom Schwaab boasted to the Voice reporter he set up with a blog of his own,) has been the state rep who represents the district that includes the precinct Schwaab is running to represent as a councilor. (Not his home precinct in Boston, but the one he wants to represent here on the Cape despite the fact that according to most residence indicators this is not his actual home…)

Good question!

Over the past couple of years, Schwaab, Lopez and John Julius, the cog team leadership, have trashed every councilor but Greg Milne, the councilor who wants to be a charter commissioner who wants to be a mayor.

They have trashed just about every manager and department head in town, and our state representative and senator, the representatives family, and local business people and chambers of commerce, and the county government and planning organziation… and …. current board and committee members, members of the local press, and ……well there are hundreds of posts against hundreds of people…..

Schwaab and friends have used racial slurs against one councilor, made sexist comments about the women on the council, trashed what they believe are the religious leanings of another councilor, the looks of several councilors, the health and condition of  dying town employees, the polish background of another town employee, ethnic backgrounds of others in town government, and the character of our town manager, relentlessly.  They have assailed the current state rep and senator.  They posted private information about all of the above, and posted private information about and insulted their families.

My friend makes a good point. And, this question comes just from reading a series of articles.

Even before the election, Eric Schwaab’s report card reads, “Does not play well with others.”

How would he ever get anything done?

  2. Not only does Schwaab “not play well with others”, but he takes shots and then deletes the posts. See the proof at my blog - here’s the direct link to my “Post Deleter” post -

  3. I want to make sure that people are aware of the sick tactics Schwaab, Julius and Thoman are using. Please read my post on this blog titled “having the cake, icing and ice cream and eating it too?” This is the skeleton in Thoman’s closet that Still was covering up on the dotcommons. But why? People have aright to know. Take a drive thru Mountain Ash Rd. in Marstons Mills, across from the MME elementary school. Notice the camera in the tree, stop and chat with us, we are on the corner next to her #10, We will fill you in and show you all the cameras. VOTE for ANYONE but NOT THOMAN or JULIUS!!! Tell your friends, neighbors and relatives. Now is the time it matters.

  4. News flash:

Citing domestic trauma caused by the psychological degeneration of his master, Bugsy has left home and joined the Munafo camp. Bugsy can be seen in the photograph taken today being greeted by Councilor Munafo at a welcome session on West main Street in Hyannis. Bugsy responded with great relief at being rescued from his prior traumatic experiences. Incidentally, the waves and horn tooting were most encouraging!

    VOTE MUNAFO

  5. I am appaulled at what is going on here.
I am worried about your safety, Janet.
Is this worth it? The stuff in the Cape Cod Voice was disturbing, but after reading those blogs today, I can’t understand why you are doing this.

  6. Janet is standing up to people who use threats and intimidation as well as manipulation to get what they want. Yes, they appear to be unstable people witha definite potential to “explode.” But, if we all backed down to them, they would win.
Imagine if people like this won because they threatened people? What would our town be like then, if everyone gave into them out of fear and they recruited all “their people?”
It would be like terrorists taking over our country.
We have a moral obligation to all stand up and do what’s right.
I’ve said it before, there is strength in numbers. Let’s all stop being anonymous and stand up for what’s right, use your voices! The police know Ms. Thoman well and are aware of all that she has done. The Town of Barnstable has a terrific Police Dept. The DA’s office is well aware of the things Ms. Thoman has done, my story is on seven villages under the having the cake and icing, etc, incase you haven’t heard it yet.
My neighborhood is getting tired of Taryn Thoman and her questionable behavior.

Let’s support Janet and vote NO SCHWAAB, NO THOMAN & NO JULIUS!! Make sure you tell everyone-each and every vote counts!!!

  7. Nov.6 the truth will be told, Taryn Thoman is a disgrace, and the people of Barnstable need to know, putting her in any elected office, is the worst thing the voters of Barnstable can do. Reading some of her blogs and her little crews blogs makes me wonder why DSS isn’t investigating her!! Thoman Trash is just that Thoman Trash
