Main Street Hyannis is being rejuvenated! New buildings are replacing blighted properties. The work that is being done to redevelop this area is creating a fresh new environment with activities that include art galleries, and shows and events for the all ages. The following is the latest news from the Hyannis Main Street Business Improvement District (BID).  I’ll try to post events as they come available - watch for more.

Thanks to months and months of planning and a successful fundraiser, the HMSBID and the Town have partnered to provide a free Shuttle Service on Main Street throughout the summer
The public transportation Shuttle will run Wednesday through Sunday from 11 am to 11pm. It will be on a 20 minute schedule and will make stops at: the Transportation Center, the Federated Church (crosswalk), Across from the Post Office (crosswalk), Kandy Korner, Basset and Main (crosswalk), just west of the International Inn (crosswalk), corner of Newton and South Street, St. Francis Xavier Church, the Artists’ Shanties on the Harbor, the Cape Cod Maritime Museum, the Cape Cod Hospital, and 232 Main Street. The shuttle can also be hailed at anytime

The Olde Barnstable Trolley Company is now in service.
The sightseeing trolley offers narrated tours and same day shuttle service between stops through the Town of Barnstable including the villages of Hyannis, Hyannisport and Centerville. Tickets are available at the JFK Museum, Kandy Korner and Katie’s Ice Cream. Call 508.771.8687 or log on to www.oldebarnstabletrolley.com for more information.
