Cheap Shots and White Tents

Last night the Yankee’s pretty boy gave us a demonstration of baseball’s version of the cheap shot. A clear elbow to Dustin Pedroia to avoid an out was not picked up by the umps, and of course the instant-replay -game-delay still belongs to the NFL, so the film of the incident just shows all of us that cheap shots can still work in baseball.  And, in an interesting turn, even some of the NY papers are calling it a cheap shot.

What is accomplished with cheap shots? 

I am still forwarded copies Gary Lopez and John Julius’s angry slog-blogs whenever a friendly constituent feels there is something I should see.
I have trouble reading them and usually just skim, especially when it comes to some of the psychotic comments with CAPITAL LETTERS!! and EXCLAMATION!!! points all throughout. (Who can get through those long visceral paragraphs of hate and lies? Would you buy a foreclosure from this man?)

I have noticed that as they all seem to have lost support and credibility; they have resorted to the lowest of cheap shots, risking the inevitable libel suit in order to paint the portraits of villainous corruption.  They continue to create their own versions of court findings, and legal proceedings. They create phony scenarios by rearranging numbers, and often seem to enjoy rewriting history creating their own stories where they play the heroes,  and their villains are anyone who might disagree.

A-Rod got nowhere with his elbow, and might find the pitches coming a little close next time around. He loses credibility when he pulls this stuff .. and like performance enhanced overblown freaks with hitting streaks, we wonder why the true clean playing isn’t good enough.  What will the angry bloggers accomplish with their cheap shots?

Oh and while we are on the subject of fiction, those evil white tents on the parking lots around Craigville Beach protected hundreds of people from the elements as they accomplished goals of raising millions of dollars for those with special needs. I was lucky enough to attend the celebrations and watched an aging (but still very talented) rocker delight a crowd of special needs kids by letting them sing and play his guitar along with him on stage.  “Marcia Brady” along with her distant cousin Tom Brady and other celebrities gave their time and pedal power to the cause, and a good time was had by all.

The Town of Barnstable and Councilor Crocker were recognized in appreciation for donating the use of their property to this event.  Sorry boys, not a conspiracy to be found here…

A couple of people forwarded me this comment (pasted below) posted on Gary Lopez’s cogslogBLOG.  A small group of  family who were in town showed up at the council meeting to witness this “in your face” action.   Well, they were disappointed.  As has been the case in the majority of our meetings in accordance with our charter and council rules, Mr. John Julius author of the threat below, was given his three minutes and didn’t use them all.  He also gathered his marbles and went home once he finished his bi-monthly message from the king of pajamas.  He clearly has little to no support.  Mention his name anywhere on the Cape to real estate agents and inevitably you will hear a story about angry threats, or law suits or… well….lets just say there are some sad stories here….he might consider taking things one day at a time….

This is cut from a 1000 word comment full of anger and hatred and treaths and accusations. And, this is just one of several such comments posted. What kind of psychology is behind such daily vitriol? Who can find that much hatred in their soul each and every day? Is there violence far behind?  I have a couple of college kids in residence who were there to observe last night… but the subject threw his not-quite-ripe-and -far-from-rotten-tomato, and ran. For all the talk in type - the walk to the microphone was pretty tame/lame….

All in all, THIS IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHY WE NEED A BRAND NEW COUNCIL WITH COUNCILORS AT LARGE, THAT IS AT LARGE!

Know WHY? Because once again, IF we had councilors AT LARGE, then they ALL would have had their ASS## at last nights IMPORTANT HEARING!

So yes, I will be there tonight, ONCE AGAIN, in their faces, (you too President Joakim) REMINDING them ALL what they are SUPPOSED to be doing! It is babysitting hour again. And don’t worry President Joakim, I will NOT more than my 2 MINUTES. And does everyone in this town know that a short time ago the PUBLIC USED to have 4 minutes to speak? Then with Mr. EX-President Hank Farnham, it went to 3 and NOW with wonderwoman herself, the PUBLIC gets 2 minutes.

Gary, first congratulations to RON JANSSSON who had and HAS the integrity to ASK important questions and thank you to the entire zoning BOARD for NOT at least to let this SLIDE like so many other things which ’sneak by’ here in HACKSTABLE, the town of John Klimm’s hacks!

First, yes, great question: WHERE WAS JOHN KLIMM LAST NIGHT? JOHN? HELLO JOHN! ANYONE HOME? No, John Klimm is far too BUSY having everyone here actually BELIEVE his crap about how GREAT of a job he is doing and that we have a triple AAA rating! John get LOST! Those OTHER 11 towns in MA with the AAA rating get trash pickup, and street lights and the people THERE in those towns do NOT have to pay bus fees! Mr. Klimm tried nicely to have us all think our town is so great with the AAA rating when in fact his administration is nothing but a SPENDAHOLIC and WASTAHOLIC administration!

So John when you Do read this, WHY NOT let us ALL know WHY you were NOT there last night?! And WHY were NO councilors there? ESPECIALLY the 4 Hyannis COUNCILORS?!

See, this is all about the GOOD OLE BOY NETWORK! At its very best. And for Town Atty Bob Smith: Mr. Smith, we THOUGHT the Town ATTY is SUPPOSED to represent the SAFETY and GENERAL WELFARE of the PEOPLE!! And NOT those in the ‘network’! Bob, you CANNOT REPRESENT EVERYONE!!

Here we have a building ALLOWED to be built within a ZONE I area and NO ONE says a thing! Not the COUNCIL, NOT Mr. KLIMM, NOT THE TOWN’s OFFICE and NOT even the Town BLDG INSPECTOR!!!! WHY???!

Ask your selves this? Would this happen in Barnstable? NO! In WEST BARNSTABLE? NO! How about CENTERVILLE? Nope. And Marstons Mills? Nope! How about Cotuit? NOPE! AND in Jim Crocker’s AUSterville? NO WAY, Never. NEVER!

So WHY THE HELL should these clowns ALLOW an airport HANGAR to be built practically on top of a ZONE I area??!!

I welcome ANY TOWN COUNCILOR to log in here and EXPLAIN themselves, if ANY have the guts to do it, which I DOUBT! And John KLimm, please John… LOG in here and have the guts to EXPLAIN YOURSELF because we KNOW that MR. KLIMM SPENDS MANY HOURS A DAY ON THIS SITE. John, I WOULD too if I was in your shoes knowing that this forum DOES get the TRUTH out to MANY!!!

And all the others…. Town Atty Bob Smith. Building Commissioner Tom Perry. And the CAPE COD COMMISSION! WHERE ARE THEY ON ALL THIS? See. PROOF that the commission is a WASTE too and there will be a town vote on getting RID of the COMMISSION soon and hopefully the GOOD HONEST voters and taxpayers will get RID of that WASTE!

And have no fear council AND Town Manager, you are ALL not far behind!

This town’s administration is a JOKE!!! And so is the Manager…

And as for the Town Atty, he has kept his track record straight. STILL I am yet to see him OR his office truly do its job and REPRESENT AND PROTECT the GOOD people in this town!
