sadly, they just don’t get it

It is a beautiful day.
I have all of the windows open and am getting ready to pull out the seventh generation cleaning products when I am done working.
(S & S would be proud!)

Here in New England we are often stuck inside for weeks at a time due to bad weather.
Studies show that lack of sunshine and the inability to be able to spend time in the outdoors, contribute to various depressions.
Maybe that is what prompts the continuing abhorrent behavior of some of our local bloggers.
I was sent a copy of a posting yesterday that continues to demonstrate what must be an inherent hate that ranges from racism to misogamy to the need to destroy anyone who disagrees with their conspiracy theories.
The post, which made me so uncomfortable I couldn’t get through it and ultimately deleted it, was a disgusting attempt to justify previous egregious displays of racial, ethnic, sexist and religious slanders and slurs.
Perhaps these guys are wanna-be comedians like Rush and Bill-O, but are finding that fewer people are interested in such talk. This message that we are tired of this talk was delivered strongly via the story of Don Imus’s demise.
My own little fairy tale about the cogslogger Gary Lopez, and his twisted version of events from last month is put on hold as we let this group continue to show their true colors with little prompting from those who spend time in the world outside of the house.
When my story is published, you can bet the anger will come to a boil again, and we will see new lows from these men and women who spend so much of their lives hating.
In the mean time, it is time to plant the bean and zinna seeds and there is are still two Red Sox / Yankees games to watch.

Rivera is losing steam!
Papelbon must have been chomping at the bit.
I like your cartoon!
These guys are so ignorant, they probably don’t realize how foolish they look.
I can’t wait to see if any of them dare to run for council or for the charter commission. They will be surprised at how many people slam doors in their faces.

The level of racism on local bblogs are unbelievable. Isn’t there a Human Rights Commission on Cape Cod? What about the Attorney General? They should call themselves CapeKKK.

I just got an email from a former student. (I believe he is at 4C’s now.)He says that another local slog blog is suggesting that our comments here are libelous and slanderous.
You have to be kidding! Curb your dog!!
There are lots of people who would love to have that theory tested. Lets go to court! It would give us a chance to show our hands without the lawyers fees!
There are spouses, children, grandchildren, friends, and so many people who are affected by this sludge, especially when it is featured in or linked from a newspaper.
Just because (most) of these sloggers don’t have to worry about losing a job, or don’t own property in their own names, doesn’t mean they are safe from having to answer for these outrageos racist, sexist, libelous, slanderous posts and comments.
People are fed up with the lowest lows these guys stoop to. It may take several months, but they will have to answer, sooner or later.

Hyannis….
Good suggestion….while it might not be CapeKKK, we could consider it a junior version…how about CapeKOG….
Janet….I don’t think that the COG ship of fools will ever really answer for anything, as they are not the type of people who get actively involved in community leadership. Only if they came out from behind the computers and ran for office or sat on a board would they become truly answerable.
Of course, REAL REFORM takes a great deal of effort…running for a seat, sitting through all the meetings, dealing with public criticism, etc. Sitting at home and bitching via the internet is so much more easy. Let’s see how many KOGGERS run for the soon-to-be-elected Charter Commission.

Like the cartoon -but you made the coggers cuter than they really are. I am less affected by their antics these days since I think they just talk to each other -no one else can bear to listen to them. Their message gets lost in the hate and personal ridicule they spew. People who resort to name calling, usually do not have a good argument.
